Manipal University takes interest in the welfare of foreign students in its campuses. To ensure our students feel safe on campus, the university has set up the department of student affairs overseeing the interests of students outside the classroom.
The department of student affairs is involved in the guidance, wellness and healthcare of students on campus. Through support and counselling, the department ensures that every student is given a helpful hearing when there is a need.
Our idea is to help students reach their highest potential in the areas of intellectual curiosity and personal well-being. We are committed to providing students a wide variety of opportunities to explore leadership styles while also cultivating and practicing new skills.
All foreign students seeking admission at Manipal University have to come on a student visa which is valid for more than 180 days. Such students will have to register with the Foreigners' Registration Office (FRO) within 14 days of their arrival in India.
People of Indian Origin can either come with a PIO Card or an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India). In such case they do not require a student visa to study in India. However a PIO Card Holder will have to register with the FRO.
