Gitanshu Choudhary is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), specializing in cognitive psychology and dynamic decision-making research. He completed his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi, where his research focuses on psychological factors influencing climate-related decision-making through simulation tools.
He holds an M.A. in Psychology from the Central University of Haryana, where he was awarded the university gold medal, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) with Psychology from Maharaja’s College, University of Rajasthan. His research integrates cognitive psychology, behavioral science, and computational modeling to explore feedback mechanisms, social influence, and cognitive biases—such as Single Action Bias (SAB)—in shaping climate action decisions.
Beyond climate decision-making, he collaborates on research in social robotics for pedagogical enhancement and examines the relationship between Ayurvedic Prakriti and psychological constructs. His interdisciplinary work has led to multiple research publications in reputed journals and presentations at international conferences.
A dedicated researcher and educator, Dr. Choudhary is committed to mentoring students and fostering a research-driven learning environment. He actively engages in academic discussions and interdisciplinary collaborations, welcoming opportunities in decision sciences, cognitive psychology, and human-computer interaction.
