
Mr. Dikshant Gehlot
Visiting Faculty
Dikshant Gehlot is a scholar of Political Science whose academic work lies at the intersection Informal Economy, Social Justice, Critical Caste Studies, and Labour studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (2020–2022) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (Honours) from the University of Delhi (2017–2020). He is currently associated with the National Law University, Delhi, as a Research Associate, where he works with Dr. Sophy K.J. (Associate Professor, NLU Delhi) and Dr. Roopa Madhav (Professor and Dean of Legal Studies, Vidyashilp University, Bengaluru; Visiting Professor, NLU Delhi) for the ICSSR-funded project examining the (in)visibilisation in law and policies of live-in domestic workers in Bangalore and Delhi. Building on this project, he is co-authoring a forthcoming book with Cambridge University Press and has an upcoming article in Economic and Political Weekly titled “Entrapped Lives of Live-in Domestic Workers in Delhi: A Case of Modern Slavery.” Alongside his research, Dikshant is engaged in teaching as Visiting Faculty at DLHS, MAHE, where he delivers courses on Introduction to International Relations and Introduction to Public Policy. His teaching focuses on bridging classical debates with contemporary issues, while fostering critical and analytical engagement among students of law and policy. His broader academic contributions include publications and reviews on themes of caste, gender, and constitutional discourse in leading journals and media outlets.
