As part of the Anti-Ragging Week observance, a lecture on “Anti-Ragging Awareness and Prevention” was conducted by Dr. Sandipan Mukherjee, Senior Lecturer, Department of Prosthodontics and Crown C Bridge, on 12th August, 2025 at Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangalore.

Session Highlights:

·       The lecture aimed to raise awareness among students about the legal implications of ragging and the institutional mechanisms in place to prevent it.

·       Key topics included:

·       Legal provisions against ragging

·       Reporting mechanisms for students

·       Support systems available within the campus

·       The session reinforced MAHE’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful campus environment.

·       Students actively participated in the interactive session, seeking clarifications and learning about their responsibilities in upholding a ragging-free culture.

Student Engagement Activity:

To further promote awareness, a Slogan Writing Competition was organized on 17th August 2025, inviting students to creatively express their commitment to a ragging-free campus. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased the students’ dedication to fostering a positive and respectful academic atmosphere.
