Seminar on Industry Expectations and Student Preparedness

The School of Business and Commerce (SBC) organized a two-day Seminar on Industry Expectations and Student Preparedness on 21st August -22nd August, 2019 for BBA and B.Com, B.Com Hons (Accounting) final year students. The event was presided by Prof. Sudhendra Hanumantha Rao, Dean FoMC, Prof. M.L. Vadera, Director SBC, Dr. Teena Shivnani, HoD- Commerce and Dr. Suhasini Verma, HoD-Business Administration.

Prof. M.L Vadera delivered the inaugural address and welcomed the speakers. Prof. Rao addressed the students and enlightened them with his words of wisdom. Ms. Pooja Purohit (HR Manager-Girnar Software Ltd.), Mr. Sandeep Meghnani (Founder Director-Yeshaswi Bhav Training & Management Solutions LLP), Mr. Vikas Behra (Regional Manager-NJ Wealth), Mr. Abhinav Baakiwala (Director, Wealth Compounders) and CA Aditya Modani (Strategic Financial Analyst-Wealth Compounders) were the eminent speakers of the seminar. All these speakers focussed and enlightened the students about the demands of the industry in the current scenario.

Ms. Pooja Purohit explained the students about the challenges in the HR industry. She emphasized that HR is no more limited to the women but even men are taking up HR as their specialization subject in graduation and avenues are open for all.

Mr. Vikas Behra shared his life experience with investing and stressed upon the importance of starting investing early in life. CA Aditya Modani (Strategic Financial Analyst-Wealth Compounders) explained the students about systematic investment plans and also described the significance of wealth compounding. Mr. Sandeep Meghnani trained the students in designing effective and impressive curriculum vitae with respect to the present industry requirements. Mr. Subhash Handa, Training and placement officer, MUJ explained the students about the training and placements opportunities at MUJ and cleared the placement related doubts of the students.
