Expert Lecture on Capital Market Operations

Department of Business Administration has organized an expert lecture on "Capital Market Operations" on 29/03/2019. Mr. Prashant Sipani, CA , was the resource person of the expert talk. The talk was organized for the final year finance elective students. Mr. Sipani has discussed importance of capital market for the economy-by way of capital formation and thus economic development, for organization- to fulfil the need of the fund and for investors- to provide an avenue of investment.

Further, he discussed the process of capital market operations, constituents of capital market and the functions of each constituents. While elaborating the role and importance of the constituents, Mr. Sipani has discussed the role of SEBI in strengthening the market citing various contemporary examples.

He also the perspective of individual investors and rule of SEBI to protect the interest of them. In connection with individual investor's participation in the market, he shared the maximum limit of investment, rule of allocation of shares and so on.

It was an interactive session and the students asked him their queries on various related issues and discussed the impact of SEBI guidelines on investor's protection.
