Department of Computer Applications jointly with E-Cell has organized a seminar on "Educational Utilization of Standards" on March 3, 2020 in Manipal University Jaipur. The resource person and sponsors of the event was Mrs. Kanika Kalia, Head, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Jaipur Branch.

Mrs. Kanika Kalia, touched upon various standards. She said that Standards are a vehicle for sharing knowledge, technology and good practices. They bring certainty, predictability and security to almost every area of our world. But despite the widespread use of standards, they often remain hidden, working modestly behind the scenes to underpin the technology and services that we rely on. This means that sometimes the contribution made by standards can be hard to quantify. She shared the importance of standards for every stream of students with very simple examples.

More than 200 students from various branches of MUJ participated in the seminar, it was a very fruitful and interactive session. Dr. Devershi Pallavi Bhatt was the convener of the event, Prof. Vijay Pal Singh Dhaka gave his vision as Director, E-Cell and comparing was done by Ms. Kuntal Gaur.
