Visit from Celebal Technology

The main objective of the event of visit by Celebal Technologies was to have Collaboration between Manipal and Celebal will reduce the gap between Academics and industry which will help both the parties in of knowledge exchange. The other objective was to give students an exposure to students to have an opportunity to work Industry projects and also consultancy projects for faculties.

Event Summary

The event started with interaction between the visiting team from the industry with SCIT, Manipal The important points of discussion on the relevance and the importance of the Microsoft AZURE, Data Bricks, Spark and other related tools from Microsoft.

This was followed by interactions with all the faculties and heads of CSE, CCE, and IT department. The discussion was on the possible ways and methods for knowledge transfer, setting up labs and working on live industry projects for the students of SCITMoreover discussion about the summer internship was also discussed.

The next session was with the Placement department of Manipal university Jaipur for possible chances of recruitment of students for Job offer and as well as for was held in Placement office in the presence of Corporate Relations and and his team.

Moreover the next session started from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. The event had a talk from Mr. Anupam Gupta- Principal, Chief Architect at Celebal Technologies. The prime focus of the event was to discuss the importance of Databricks, Big Data and other methods and technologies used for solving big data problems. The event also covered the shortcomings of older technologies and platforms such as Hadoop and paved a way for the students to wonder onto the technologies that can be used to overcome them.

The session was an interactive one. Students raised queries from the basic shortcomings of older technologies and how Databricks helps in solving them. Besides this, the students were also interested in the type of problems that the clients of Celebal Technologies usually approach them with and how they go about solving them.

The event featured a live demo of some of the projects which had been done in their firm and featured the broadcast of platforms other than Databricks which are used in support of it such as Microsoft Azure. Besides this, there was also talk of student benefits and training period which

go through which was being told from live experience of a student from Manipal University Jaipur, Mr. Agarwal, from Computers and Communications Engineering.

Mr. his experiences with Celebal technologies and their working and invited students to take initiatives and get involved with the upcoming technologies help from the resources around them.

The session was ended on an inspiring note from Mr. Anupam Gupta students the opportunities around them and was backed by others from his team and from the faculty.
