The Department of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Manipal University Jaipur organized a guest lecture on “Psychological Factors Affecting Physical Performance.” The session was delivered by Dr. Reena Walia, an eminent academician in the field of Physical Education and Sports Psychology. During the lecture, the speaker discussed the significant role of psychological factors such as motivation, confidence, stress management, focus, and emotional control in enhancing sports performance. She also highlighted practical strategies and mental training techniques that athletes can use to manage competitive pressure and improve their overall performance. The session was highly interactive, with active participation from BPES students who asked insightful questions and engaged in discussion with the speaker. The lecture provided valuable academic exposure and helped students understand the importance of mental conditioning in sports and physical activity.
